Assessment and Examination Policy

At our Kindergarten, we are committed to monitoring and supporting each child’s academic and developmental progress throughout the year. Our comprehensive assessment approach includes a combination of terminal examinations and regular class tests. Here’s a detailed overview of our assessment policies:

  1. Terminal Examinations and Regular Class Tests:
  • Examinations: We conduct three terminal examinations each academic year. These exams are designed to evaluate the child’s understanding and progress in various subjects.
  • Class Tests: In addition to terminal exams, students will participate in regular class tests. These assessments help us gauge ongoing progress and provide timely feedback.
  1. Absence from Examinations:
  • Policy on Absences: If a student is absent from an examination for any reason, they will not have the opportunity to retake the exam. It is important for students to attend all scheduled examinations to ensure accurate assessment of their abilities.
  1. Examination Conduct:
  • Adherence to Rules: Students are expected to adhere to all examination rules. Any wilful breach of these rules will result in the student’s answer paper being voided, and they will not be given a chance to retake the exam.
  1. Fee Payment Requirement:
  • Fee Compliance: To ensure that students are eligible to sit for terminal examinations and unit tests, all fees and dues must be paid in full and up-to-date. Students with outstanding fees will not be permitted to participate in assessments until all payments are settled.
  1. Progress Reports and Parent Engagement:
  • Report Review: After each terminal examination, a detailed progress report and paper file will be provided to the parents or guardians. These documents offer valuable insights into the student’s performance and progress.
  • Parental Review: Parents/guardians are encouraged to review these reports carefully. To confirm their review and understanding, they are required to sign the progress report. This process helps ensure that parents are actively involved in their child’s educational journey and aware of their academic standing.

We believe that a collaborative approach involving students, parents, and educators is key to fostering a positive learning environment and supporting each child’s growth and success.
